ESREVER FEAT. ELEA BEKKERS
This piece started life a looooong time ago, experiencing life as part of some artistic research towards a performance called ‘From The Sun’s Perspective’, then it found a place as part of the interdisciplinary performance The Circle of Truth Pt 2, and then it was used by Drew Jacoby for her short film ‘The Dream’ for jewellery maker Misui. This film was then shortlisted at the Berlin Fashion Film Awards in 2024. This version is sung by Elea Beckers, using an adapted text from Sarah Blok.
COSMOSIS
Cosmosis is a growing collection of immersive storytelling experiences, called Quests. These quests are exercises in deeply rooting within yourself, your environment and the cosmos. You will be guided through that by me, the wizard! 🧙🏻♂️ Expect a patchwork of storytelling, soundscapes, rituals, magic and physical interactions. Each Quest is made for a specific theme, aimed to re-enchant your experience of it. Created (and above text) by Paul Staring. Composition by Nicholas Thayer.

THE CIRCLE OF TRUTH Pt 2
The Circle of Truth Part 2 is the second edition of DOOR Foundation's Truth Trilogy, following the successful Part 1 performed in 2022. Set in a large metal warehouse at the NDSM, DOOR Open Space, 'The Circle of Truth' is inspired by the Faustian way we navigate our lives in this post-truth era.

It feels amazing to finally share this four year journey! Tetramer means ‘four things’ and this album is exactly that. Four suites (and of course four wonderful players), four concepts, four years (the first parts of this album were composed in 2019), four DAWs (Cubase, Ableton, Dorico, ProTools) and so forth. But what this album is really comprised of is an exploration into the intersection of our analog and digital worlds. The artwork, developed with Theo Robinson reflects that too, and in the coming weeks I will share some of the visualisations we made for each piece that explore this further.
For now, firstly, a HUGE thank you to the wonderful players who made this possible, Anna Csukly, Kirill Moses, Setareh Nafisi, and Gayla Sky, to Theo Robinson for as ever exploring artwork ideas with me. A huge and special thank you to Setareh for all of the incredibly valuable support and advice throughout this creation process.
Tell your friends. Tell your parents. Thank you for listening.
